Márton Munkácsi or Martin Munkácsi (1896-1963), who was born in Kolozsvár, was the greatest pioneer of modern photographic journalism and the best-paid star photographer of his age, who activated the static medium of photography with his unique perspective.
The K&H Olympic Cycling Day will be a large-scale free time and sports event for families on 2 October in Budapest. The slogan of the event is: “Everything about bicycles”.

Setting is a special type of building. Sometimes it is not even a building. There were times when there were no settings in theatres at all, because the theatre itself was the frame for the play.
Three present and former colleagues of the Theatre and Music article of port.hu, which has been founded 15 years ago, think that pictures and printed letters often seem more realistic than things are in reality. But in contrast with letters, a well-prepared photograph can sometimes reflect somebody's character with an astonishing honesty. This can especially be true for an actor on a stage, because spectators or the audience are entitled to expect authentic performances in each moment. If this expectation is not fulfilled, the actor’s fate is failure, and the musician’s fate is to be forgotten.
The unique attraction of the event is the fact that 20 palinka distillers and 10 different sausage makers participate and offer two of the Hungarica of our country--sausages and palinka.
A contemporary arts festival that attempts to demonstrate contemporary Hungarian culture in Budapest with theatrical performances, concerts, and shows held at several venues.
Although everybody calls the famous opera house by its nickname, the Met, there are few Hungarian music fans who are regular visitors to it. A few years ago the world-famous New York Metropolitan Opera virtually increased its auditorium, and created the opportunity for several hundred thousand people around the world to visit its performances: within the framework of “The Metropolitan Opera: Live in HD" programme, fans can enjoy live opera broadcasts altogether in 44 countries in excellent quality. The aim of our exhibition, the topic of which changes with the broadcasts from the Met, is to serve the opera fan audience of Müpa even more.
The music programme and the exhibition are sponsored by Ethnosound, the world music instrument shop.
Our exhibition belongs to a series of concerts and instrument demonstration events held each Saturday morning, during which children can listen to the folk music of different continents and see rare musical instruments.
